I am looking for an opportunity to develop technical skills and business experience while being a strong contributor to your endeavor. I can provide a technical background in embedded software and Electrical Engineering, a creative business mind, and a high level of emotional intelligence. I am a U.S. Citizen and I have a Hong Kong work/live permit. I am looking for work specifically in the Bay Area/ San Jose, and am otherwise willing to relocate and travel.

ViaSat Inc. – Software Integration Engineer 6/14- 9/14

  • Updated modem software for commercial satellite internet network and performed diagnostic tests
  • Received training in satellite network architecture and debugging problems following software update
  • Designed and executed throughput and latency tests for integrated Ethernet to coax bridge for modem

ViaSat Inc.[Steven Bradshaw |] – System Engineering Intern 6/13- 9/13

  • Used static analysis tools to monitor, debug, and fix runtime errors in existing ViaSat modem software
  • Worked on software fixes for existing bugs in released commercial modem software for Exede network

ViaSat Inc.[Jordan Corey |] –Signal Transmission  Software Intern 6/12- 9/12

  • Designed and coded 8 PSK and 16 APSK encoding schemes, achieving higher throughput, and designed and coded Reed-Solomon encoder for more robust data transmission for a commercial satellite network
  • Designed and verified system test showing improved throughput and robustness for implemented changes

  • Developed method of creating a high spatial resolution video from a series of panorama-based still images

  • Studied ringing effects in video processing in order to resolve shift varying motion blur in videos
